Oahu cont. July 2011 by Nancy Tuitama

We spent 6 hours at the beach at Malaekahana on Tuesday, 3hrs of boogie boarding.  The waves were great and I had so much fun and did so well...was very proud of myself.  Walked down to Laie point and thought about the days my friends and I would go out there at low tide and sunbathe topless.....Ernie, were you auditioning for my swim club with that picture I saw?  Hah.
Turle Bay has 880 acres.  I covered most of the water front.  Walking you get to serene untouched bays, old world war 2 bunkers, wildlife and beauty all around.  I had a 2 hour site of the property.  It is now a 4star. All rooms ocean views, 3 type of suites, 4 bedroom ocean front villas and ocean front cottages.
They offer all the surfing, kayaking, etc, but have horseback riding on beaches, and even ponies for the little kids, plus they learn to groom and saddle their pony.

We are back in Waikiki now at the Hyatt.  I like this side of Waikiki best.
Lots of open places to walk to, this morning walked to the Outrigger Canoe Club...my old stomping ground.  Off to my sisters in a little bit, tomorrow to Iolani Palace to brush up on my Hawaiian History.
Will see you all on Monday.
Nancy
